Tibetan Heart Yoga
Saturday, July 9th
Learn and practice the "Yoga of the Dalai Lamas", as taught to the Tibetans in the middle ages by the Yogis of India. This is a heart-based Yoga practice that, once learned, takes about 30 minutes. It involves opening the loving-kindness of the human heart, developing compassion toward others who are suffering, and living your Yoga all day, every day - not just on the mat in class. There is an emphasis on opening the flow of energy in and around the Heart Chakra by removing blocks and resistance. Highly recommended!

Prana Dharana

This ancient techniqe first appeared in the Upanashads, the sacred writings of Ancient India. Prana means the"Universal intelligent life-force energy", and Dharana means "concentration". By learning to direct the Prana with your own ability to concentrate, you can send healing to any physical body part, any emotional issue or mental problem. We will learn this technique together, first by becoming totally relaxed using Yoga breathing and stretching, and then by focusing the mind using several specific Yogic techniques.

Back and Neck Care Basics
Time: This Fall
Learn the techniques perfected by the ancient Yogis to cure and prevent back and neck pain. This workshop is for anyone experiencing stiffness and pain anywhere in the back or neck. The Yogis of ancient India discovered how to employ gentle repetitive movements and breath to alleviate these discomforts. You can do the same, but first you need to come and learn the techniques. If you have serious back issues, please consult your Doctor before attending.

Meditation for Everyone
Time: This Fall
Learn and practice techniques that open a pathway to your inner being and self-realization. Emphasis is on physical comfort and mental tranquility. Bring a pillow and loose clothing. Chairs provided if you cannot sit on the floor. No experience required.

Yoga for Healthy Knees
Time: This Fall
Many millions suffer from knee pain, stiffness and injuries. In this workshop you will learn how to perform a series of ageless Yoga Movements and other exercises to strengthen and lengthen the muscles that support healthy knee function. Anyone who is concerned about their knees should attend. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Consult your Doctor if you are injured or are under current medical supervision. Highly recommended!
De-Mystifying Meditation

Learn the age-old techniqes of meditation, how to prepare to meditation, and tips for fruitful meditation. We will practice these techniques together. This workshop is experiential, with as little "lecturing" as possible. We will end with a nice, long and peaceful meditation. Take the mystery out of meditation: find out what it is, what you can expect to accomplish, and how to do it and why.

Yoga Breathing Techniques for Self-Healing

Come and learn a pack of SEVEN breathing techniqes. These breathing exercises, when practiced on a regular basis will deliver mental clarity, reduced stress, peace of mind and a spike in energy. With a direct intevention of PRANA - the Universal Intelligent Life-Force Energy - many health issues can be resolved without drugs.
